Maritza Cosano produced Score Magazine 2023, Frost School of Music at the University of Miami's annual publication . She conceptualized all the stories, wrote 90 percent of the content, assigned stories to other writers, and managed the production—from hiring the photographer, designer, and working with vendors to make this one of Frost School of Music's best magazine editions.

As a professional journalist and educator, Maritza Cosano has produced well-written and beautifully designed student publications with amazing photographs. She taught journalism to Calvary Christian Academy's high school students from 2007 - 2014. She trained them to use the design tools of the trade: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. She also taught them digital photography, the nuts and bolts of journalism, and how to be part of something bigger than themselves. Her class published The Messenger, an award-winning publication—a member of Columbia Scholastic Press Association in New York and the Sun Sentinel Student Press Association in Florida.

Maritza founded this literary magazine, which was used by the Academy as a promotional piece, showcasing the best student writing, art, and photography.
