Maritza Cosano produced Score 2023, the annual publication of Frost School of Music at the University of Miami . She conceptualized all the stories, wrote 90 percent of the content, assigned stories to other writers, and managed the production—from hiring the photographer, designer, and working with vendors to make this one of Frost School of Music's best magazine edition.

As a professional journalist and educator, Maritza Cosano has produced well-written and beautifully designed publications with amazing photographs. She taught journalism to Calvary Christian Academy's high school students and trained them to use tools of the trade: Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. She also taught them digital photography, the nuts and bolts of journalism, and how to be part of something bigger than themselves. Her class published The Messenger, an award-winning publication—a member of Columbia Scholastic Press Association and the Sun Sentinel Student Press Association.
